VW -6.03%, autos sector -4.65%: China demand rout deepens
Volkswagen's ADR fell 6.03% to $8.88 — the steepest single-session decline in the European auto complex this quarter. The move reflects accelerating market recognition that VW's China volumes are in structural, not cyclical, decline as BYD and other domestic EV makers have captured the mass-market segment permanently. BMW and Mercedes are in the same trade: their Q3 China delivery guidance will be the circuit-breaker or accelerator for this sell-off.
