VW +4.8% Leads Auto Value Revival
Volkswagen surged 4.77% on September 18 as institutional investors rotated from growth into beaten-down German auto names. Mercedes +1.85% and Siemens +2.36% followed. The rally is partly technical — German autos had been under-owned since China delivery guidance cuts in Q2 — and partly driven by a softer EUR, which improves margin economics for export-heavy DAX heavyweights. The key risk: whether Q4 China delivery data in October confirms a floor, or reveals further deterioration.
