Qatar-Iran Hormuz talks ease oil disruption premium
Qatar and Iran held direct talks on de-escalating tensions in the Hormuz Strait, the 21-mile chokepoint through which roughly 20% of global oil trade passes. The diplomatic engagement immediately removed some risk premium from oil prices (Brent edged lower on Friday), but the structural supply story — OPEC+ discipline + Saudi Vision 2030 capex-driven domestic oil monetisation — remains unchanged. For ADX and DFM investors, a stable Hormuz is a prerequisite for sustained FDI inflows and Aramco's infrastructure confidence.
